Been trying to think of a good source for some custom characters to tackle Skull & Shackles, and decided to try bringing to Golarion a few favourites from Firefly.
Check out the others:

First impressions, I like it. The stats are pretty flat, which I'm not a huge fan of, but it does kind-of fit, so you might be fine. I do wonder if he should be ranged-based instead of melee based, though. I don't remember him doing that much hand-to-hand combat vs just shooting. Also, I don't remember how many skill points Jirelle had, but his skill count feels low to me. I'd consider adding something like perception or survival.
I think you may want to reverse the baseline ability vs power feat of your first power. While Swashbuckling is important to the character, adding a d4 with a recharge is far stronger than your average power feat, and I'd be more comfortable with that as the baseline ability. There are enough other ways to get swashbuckling until your first PF.
Starting cards looks about right for him. 2 Blessings is definitely a weird number as I'm fairly certain there's never before been a character with that number before (Other than Ezren's 0, I believe everyone has had at least 3), but that might be a good representation of his really bad luck.
Hope that helps!

Browncoat

[] If you fail a check to defeat a villain or henchman ([] or any other monster), after taking damage, you may attempt the check again ([]and add a d4 ([]+2))
I've lifted some of these powers directly, from Jirelle, and from Merisiel's Smuggler role card. They seem to fit.

And of course, no browncoat would be complete without:
Brown Coat
Item
Veteran
Object
Owner: Malcolm Reynolds
Reveal this card to add 1 plus the adventure deck number of the current scenario to your non-combat charisma or constitution check. If you are the owner, you may also add the swashbuckling trait.
Recharge this card to evade your encounter.

Nice looking update. I do want to point out that you only have 11 power feats on each role card, when 12 is the standard number. I'd recommend adding a new power, especially in the browncoat role, since I've never seen that few powers on a role card.
As to the brown coat, I think overall it looks good. However, I'm not sure if having an owner-specific ability is something you'd want or should do necessarily. I'd just make that a standard power, I think.

Right, so for Captain Reynolds I'm going to add:
"[] When another character at your location acquires a card, they may give it to you instead."
and for Browncoat, I'm going to drop the hand-size seven (resources were always tight for the independents) and add
"[] when another character encounters a bane, you may immediately move to their locations ([] and may encounter that card instead of them)."
- I know this last one is powerful, but it's 2 power feats, after a role card, so I don't think it's too crazy.

It might be crazy. But I don't think it's unreasonable. The big reason for that is, if I'm reading it correctly, you can only do it once per turn per character, since after the first encounter, you will be at their location, so any future monsters you can't intercept since they're already there. (I actually did something similar on one of my characters, so I've thought about that kind of ability quite a bit).
The Captain Reynolds power looks fair and flavorful to me. Nice job.
