I finished re-reading the three Borderlands books by Lorna Freeman. (for probably the fourth time)
Covenants, King's Own, and Shadow's Past.
They are enjoyable fantasy novels with good characters and an interesting setting.
I recommend them to anyone.
But...
The last one came out in 2010.
It looks like there was going to be a fourth, but it never showed.

Does anyone amongst y'all know what happened to the book or the author?

I did a little Google search, and it appears that as far as the internet is concerned, this is a mystery. Her blog is abandoned, the books stopped coming, and the publishers are not responding to queries. She seems to have dropped out of existence.
