As the title suggests, I have a question concerning what skymetals the different robots are made from. (I'm too lazy to figure out a way to end that sentence without a preposition.) I assume most of them are made from glaucite or pure adamantine, but I feel like some would be made of better and more valuable metal than others. Any insight or suggestions would be great.
Follow up question, what tools or skills would you need to shear scrap metal from a robot's frame?

Unless otherwise stated, robots are made primarily from non-skymetals and/or high-tech substances (plastic, etc.).
Salvaging scrap metal from a robot is up to the GM.

I highly doubt that the robots are made entirely of plastic. For one, they are called "metal men" by uninformed people. Yes, people could mistake plastic or other materials for metal, but they clearly appear to be made of metal just by the images. The ship exterior and interiors are made of glaucite, and I assume robots, the heavy-lifters and weapons of Androffa would also be made of glaucite. If not a skymetal, I'd still like to know what metal, perhaps iron or titanium, robots would be composed of.

The primary material robots are made of is glaucite, but other elements of skymetal are in there. Overall, the idea of salvaging valuable components from robots is one the game glosses over in the same way it does so for trophy taking or harvesting of things like demon blood or dragon scales for the most part. If you DO want to add this element to the game, make sure that you reduce the amount of treasure you give out otherwise so you don't have an unexpected spike in PC wealth.
