struck in the back of the head by a cricket ball on Tuesday, collapsed on field, died in hospital.

It is a tragedy and incredibly sad for all involved.

Nooooooo! He was one of the few good (current) Australian test batsmen that the (non-female) England team had worked out how to (usually) get out cheaply!!!!
On a more sombre note though, my sympathy to all his friends, his family, and his team-mates.

The whole country is in mourning. When you walk past a house you will see a cricket bat out by the door or in the window.

Often a ball will be beside the bat in sympathy for the bowler.

It's very moving. My 6 year old nephew has put his bat, his dad's helmet and a ball out.
