The website says that Early Enrollment is "estimated Oct 30th" - but that was about 17 days ago. If I signed up for Early Enrollment, would I be able to get involved with the game today?
Apologies if this is not the right place to ask this, but I couldn't find another place which had the answer.
Awesome, thanks for all the replies (and especially for the link). I've been intrigued by PFO and I want to get involved but it seems a bit difficult to get information about it if you don't know where to look.
I've seen some gameplay videos - are those just the Alpha Testers?
I'm confused. EE would let you play right now?

As part of their Alpha testing, Goblinworks opened up the Alpha servers for everyone with an EE account, to get people logged on, in order to stress the servers as part of the testing. So yes, if you have an account that will allow you into EE, you can log on now, in the Alpha server, and do a self-guided tour of what's there.

Anyone who is eligible for EE (kickstarter backer, or purchase through Goblinworks site) has an invite to alpha and could take part in alpha until EE comes along.
Actually, I'm pretty sure it's not just EE. I think anyone who has access of any kind, including OE, can access the game right now.
If you can see a link to get the installer, you should be able to get in.
