I am working on creating a page with maps, settlement information, and geographical information. Some questions:

1- Has anyone created a compiled text list of each settlements name, template type, alignment, leaders, location and sponsored companies?

(If this is in a webpage or spreadsheet, please point the way.)

2- Has anyone created (in a webpage or in a guide) a complied list of hexes, what resources are available, and terrain types?

(I am aware that this information is scattered between blogs, guides, developer’s comments on the Paizo and Alpha forums, and other forum threads.)

3- I have read conflicting information on the status of Starter Towns in Early Enrollment; are they ALL going to stay it permanently or just for pre-cataclysm EE, until the full map expands, until all three major NPC settlements are online, or something else? (/confused)

4- As we approach EE, we are learning more about the geography of the EE map, and the names of the regions surrounding the player settlements. Lee wrote recently about some of these “regions”; are there any confirmed names for the other settlements surrounding areas?

Lee Hammock wrote:

Mountains Ranges and what they should have:

Splinter Peaks (Near Callambea and Freevale): Iron, Silver, Lodestone

Northern Thorncrags (Near Golgotha): Copper in the northern end, Gold at the
southern end, Iron

Southern Thorncrags (Phaeros and Brighthaven): Iron, Gold, Lodestone

Southern Echo Peaks (Forgeholm): Iron, Sliver, Lodestone

5- Has anyone been saving links; developer’s replies, or forum threads where there have be talks/discussions about future changes to the terrain, hexes and its resources?

(Such as being able to gather from 20ft or more away; changes to stealth gathering, changes to gathering animations, changes of resource distributions as the map expands and new settlements are founded, new resources to add to game, changes on how to find/locate/display resources on mini-map; new or modified resource nodes…)

I'm not aware of anything complete, but there's still a ton of information, including alignment, motto, companies, template, and hex location in the landrush spreadsheet on Google: Public Landrush Info

There are even a couple of columns (off to the right) which are preformatted for inclusion in a wiki.

Caldeathe's typically--he is Canadian, after all--modest; this is the spreadsheet also known as Caldeathe's Excellent Spreadsheet, upon which he's lovingly spent so many hours of work.

I'm not a modest*. I just play one on the Paizo boards....

* It is true, however, that I'm Canadian.

My desktop died and is in Best Buy undergoing repair AND my ISP has a serious problem (cable failure)so I am going to be without internet for 3-5 weeks. :(

A casualty was that I lost access to my favorites folder (links), and the link above was one of them. Now I will put it to good use. Thanks. :)

I have some of the information for #1 in my DB for my map project but I think it's all the same as (and derived from) Cal's sheet, I'll check and pull out anything I might have added extra.

For #2 I'm working on a hex spreadsheet to seed my map it can be publicly accessed here: Map Hex Info

Unfortunately it only has the top 2 rows completed as I've been busy coding instead of trying to collect data.

So, I can't resist offering some friendly recommendations. If you're so inclined, I would suggest that you:

* Rename "hexType" to "terrainType" and add a column for "hexType" that contains one of (NPC Settlement, NPC Road, Player Settlement, Badlands, Monster, Monster Home).
* Change "isPassHex" from boolean to a 6-bit mask where each bit represents the face that has a pass. Make the 1s bit represent the north face and move clockwise from there.

I don't remember who created this, but it has some useful stuff:

Resources by hex

Was that you, Nihimon? (edit: oops, apparently it was Tyncale.)

Goblin Squad Member

Cal if that is a complete set of data I can extract what I need from you and Tyncale will have my eternal gratitude.

Goblin Squad Member

I can't vouch for the accuracy of anything. They are, after all, editable by anyone.

Goblin Squad Member

Duffy, I copied a bunch of stuff from Tyncale's sheet to yours. I hope both of you can try not to hate me if it's not a good fit.

Goblin Squad Member

Doesn't look like it caused any significant issues and in all honesty I think it provides most of what I needed anyways, much thanks.

I'll import it this weekend and see how it all shows up.

Does anyone know of a list of towers and their hex coordinates.

Goblin Squad Member

The settlements are misaligned in your sheet, duffy. The first row of settlements is on line -6, not line -7

Edit: oops, I'm mistaking "controlled" for actual settlement. ignore me

Back to the OP, does anyone else have any regional names to share and links to the above questions?

Unofficial Pathfinder Online Atlas ; included for reference so when I get back to this thread later to start consolidating public info on resource distributions, now that we know the names for the geographic regions. (Thanks again Harad!)
