Reporting scenarios with no player numbers

I ran a scenario not too long ago at the local shop when we only had three people including myself turn up to play. One of the store co-owners (the one who doesn't play Pathfinder) sat in with a pregen to make a legal table since he'd been meaning to try it anyway, and I think we had a pretty good time. But being a first-time player he had no player number and I wasn't equipped to issue one. How do I report the scenario? I'm pretty sure I can't just leave him off since the report would show I ran an illegal table.

I'm not sure he'll actually play again (he had a good time, but has a lot on his plate game-wise and with actually running the front end of the store) so issuing him one now may be a waste of time, but if we need to do that to get the scenario reported we can.

If he deos not want a number it is ok to report what you have.

Report it with three. There is nothing in the system that will label your table as illegal. (this situation happens a lot)

You can leave it as is for now and later on if he does play again, you can go back and edit the past reporting and include him in, assuming he gets a number between now and then.

If he's of the mind to play again, just download some PFS numbers and punch one in for him, then give him the card with the confirmation information on it when you next see him.

I edit the player in when they get a number (sometimes weeks after the initial reporting). If they take a chronicle sheet at the end of the game, my 'signature' has my contact info & directions for a number. (I also get their email so I can follow up). If they dinnae want the chronicle, they probably willnae register either :)

I gave him a chronicle; I'll ask about it next time I see him. I went ahead and reported the session with two players. Thanks, all.

If you want to reserve some numbers, report it with one of them, and then give him the card, that would be awesome too. Then if he changes his mind and wants to play PFS, he would have a record of playing the adventure.

Note that it is perfectly legal to report a table with no players on it. Indeed, that is how the Overseer GMs for the various multi-table Specials are supposed to be reported.

You can also end up with tables with no players when reporting an adventure path played in campaign mode. While I haven't got quite that far yet, my first "Rise of the Runelords" table ended up with only one player who was present at enough of the sessions to earn a chronicle.
