I am developing my setting's calendar. I have come up with a general scheme for months (named for current deities), but now I am brainstorming ideas for weekday names.
The naming conventions I know of in the real world include names after Norse Gods no longer worshipped, numbered days of the week except for heavenly (chinese), naming after 5 elements plus Sun amd moon (Japanese).
I am considering naming my week days after dead gods, but I want to think more. What have you all used?

Wait, why do the gods have to be dead to have a day dedicated to them?
You misunderstand. This is not for Holy Days, just regular week day names.
I was thinking along the lines of English days (ex. Thor for Thursday, Wednesday for Woden/Odin, Saturday for Saturn, etc) where the names come from religions that are no longer relevant except to a few worshippers, and relatively few people are aware of name origins.
I had named months after major living deities, but the festivals of each religion occur year round with special significance for deities during a month named for themselves.
