How long is a round?

In TT it is 6 seconds. Does a 2 round buff/debuff last 12 seconds?

In TT typically there is one standard actions, but in PfO most actions are under 2 seconds (e.g. 1.1 action with 0.8 cool down)

So, how long is a PfO round?

6 seconds, but all rounds are independent of each other. There's no 6 second clock ticking away that every effect is synchronized to.

I'm pretty sure a PFO round is six seconds. The PC action economy is totally different from tabletop play, though. Action economy in PFO is governed by the time it takes to complete actions, the amounts of stamina and power they consume, and the recharge rates of stamina and power.

That's an important point, and a big difference from tabletop. Time is relative, so if I start my first round of actions before you, I'll be able to start my second round of actions first, too. On the other hand, if I start my first round before you, then I hesitate for a couple of seconds, deciding what to do next, your rounds might overtake mine. I hadn't really thought before about what a difference that could make.

My board-fu isn't strong today: is the return-over-time feature of Power in Alpha going to be replaced in its entirety or only partially with other things--like resting in a tavern?

I thought that native power regeneration would eventually be replaced entirely with taverns, etc., but I don't think we've been given an estimated timeline for that change.

...And base camps and small holdings (and campfires, assuming those are different from camp sites). I think they have to, or they've removed one of the benefits of buying those items in the store.

It makes sense that the introduction of those items and the removal of automatic power regeneration should happen at the same time, but we don't know when that time will be. My guess is that smallholdings, base camps, and power regeneration at taverns won't start on Day One of EE.

The original estimated time for Base Camps coming into play was Oct 15th, about a month after EE at that time. With EE starting Oct 30th, we shouldn't expect power/Base Camps, etc before early December, I would guess.
