Just wanting some clarification.

I know resurrection costs 16PP and body retrieval costs 5pp. However is there a gold equivalent?
Can you pay 5pp for body retrieval and then gold for resurrection? r vice versa, pp for resurrection and gold for body retrieval Or does it have to be all gold OR all PP ?

Any assistanceywould be great but official clarification would also be appreciated

A Raise Dead spell can be purchased for 5450gp. If you have someone in your party who can cast it, the cost is only 5000gp for the Diamond material component. A body recovery cannot be paid for in gold.

The restorations for the negative levels following the Raise Dead can be paid for in gold or with 2PP.

Correction, the Restorations for the two permanent negative levels following Raise Dead cost 4PP or 1280 gp each. Because they are two separate spells that have to be cast at least a week apart, you can buy one with PP and one with gold if you want. You can get the Raise Dead in gold or PP, but you can't split the cost between PP and gold (so, no trying to spend 8PP and 2725 gp, it's either 16PP or 5450 gp). As Acedio said, the body recovery can only be paid for with favors, meaning PP.

Archangelex, everything to answer your question is in the Guide to PFS Organized Play, currently version 6. The price for spellcasting services in gold is in Table 5-2 on page 23, while spending Prestige is covered in Table 5-4 on page 26.

I don't believe there is a gp cost anywhere for body retrieval (so you have to pay the pp for that). You can buy the resurrection or raise dead with either gold or pp. Please donate to your local temple of Sarenrae.

Thank you for that guys. I had read the guide but wanted clarification. I knew you couldn't split the cost for raise dead. But can you pay PP for the retrieval (as you have to) and then pay gold for the raise dead? so the 5pp + 5450gp?

I have been told by another player that you cant, but as I read it and your replays you can?

thanks for you assistance guys

I see nothing that says that, if you get a body recovery, you have to spend PP for the raise afterward, so, IMO, you can spend the 5 PP for recovery, and then pay gold for the raise dead/stone to flesh/resurrection/what-have-you that is needed to completely restore your PC.

5 PP body recovery
16 PP or 5,450 gp Raise Dead
4 PP or 1,280 gp for removing the first negative level
Remember that, if done during an adventure, to take the negative level adjustments, as required.
One week later, 4 PP or 1,280 gp for removing the second negative level
If done during a multi-day module, you will be back at normal level for the rest of the module (barring further misfortune)
