Inquisitors not legal?

Pathfinder Society

3/5

One of our PFS regulars has just pointed me to the players resources page (ultimate combat) of this site as it says inquisitors are not legal in PFS?

Surely thats incorrect as they are listed in the new season 6 guide.

Silver Crusade

Don't know much about PFS but Inquisitors are from the Advanced Player's Guide. Hope this helps.

Inquisitors (the class) from the APG are legal, but the inquisitions from Ultimate Combat are not.

I see where the mistake is now. Thanks for clearing that up.

Yep, just the Ultimate Combat archetypes are nixed for Inquisitors. Can't have those nutty Iomedaen folk running around with black powder weaponry!

Although this season does bring us to question whether we should petition for a reevaluation of the gun-toting archetypes. I understand the point about them being rare items, but we have a season that is themed in a way where it sounds reasonable to make a few of these exotic archetypes valid for play.

We're occasionally going to be dealing with laser pistols anyhow, so why not have the sporatic gunslinging Holy Gun paladin or Spellslinger wizard? It just seems like a headscratcher here. Of course, I haven't seen any Gunslingers in the PFS games I play in. So maybe I've not seen what people are so afraid of personally.
