Noob GM fails at reporting

Trying to report a home game that I had. Tried entering the player information, it immediately said (something to the effect of)"Prestige doesn't count, player number not entered" ... I thought this was just a first-timer fluke, so (I thought that) I deleted the event as some of the other threads indicate should be done and tried entering it again as another event. Same error.

(as an aside, I'm assuming that if I want the Chronicle Sheet to apply to another character later, I enter myself as GM but also as a player? that's what the other threads on this subject seem to have said, unless I misread them. that would make 2 big errors today. :b)

Hello. That prestige should go away after you hit Save, if all information has been entered.

You do not need to enter yourself as a player. You're already listed in the GM section, and it will apply credit to the character you enter in that session. Just give that character a chronicle sheet.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

The error message goes away once all player numbers are entered. If you want to report a table with less than 6 players you can delete a player slot.

Also: I think you have to decide which character gets the chronicle sheet when you GM the scenario and you just fill in that characters number (so if you want to apply the GM credit to your second character, fill in 123456-2 - well, obviously not 123456 but your real number, but you get the idea.

Ah, this could be it. Also, I want to be sure I'm deleting correctly. In a number of these threads, GMs were told to delete the event (?) and start a new one. This is what I attempted to do, but I'm not sure I deleted the first one correctly. How is it done? Thanks in advance.

Got it sorted out, thank you everyone for your help.
