Hi all,
Lets say a 5-9 scenario with a level 7 pregen and hold the chronicle until the character you assigned it to reaches a high enough level. DO you apply it at 5th level, or 7th?
The reason I ask is that but the GtOP (both current and tomorrows) seem to quite clearly say 7th. But I was completely convinced that the answer was 5th, although I am now not sure why.
So I just want to make sure I am not missing anything. Am I?

When you reach the level. You take the level5-6 gold and apply it to your character.
That may have been true a few seasons ago. But with the inclusion of Out of tier gold you must now use that. If the scenario played was pre-season 4 you must calculate it yourself:
Take the combined gold of both tiers and divide the result by two.Do note that this is what you must do when playing a level 7 pre-gen in a 5-9 adventure. And you apply it as soon as you become level 7.
If you play a pre-gen in an adventure where the level of the pre-gen is in one of the tiers you obviously just get the normal gold of that sub-tier.

As Morten says, for 7th-level pregen credit, it's as soon as you hit 7th-level, with out-of-subtier gold (average of the two subtiers). If you play subtier 5-6, you only get access to those items on the chronicle.
You might have been thinking of GM credit; if you assign that to a lower-level PC, you would apply it as soon as you hit 5th level.

Thanks everybody. It does mean I've given one of my players duff advice, but no harm done (he was the one who pointed out to me that I had got it wrong...).
Maybe I was thinking of GM credit. Or maybe I just got confused because the only pregen credit I've ever held was for a 7-11 scenario anyway, so the distinction would have been moot. Or both.
Thanks again!
