As things are prone to do in the summer months over at the Purple Duck cave we have a number of new releases to let you know about.
Player's Options: The Awalim
In this world of wonder and mystery, there are some who seek to amuse and entertain with their bodies, in the art known as dance. In lands beyond the seas and over the mountains, there are some who have developed the art of supernatural expression to an art, which allows one to not only emulate nature’s brace, but embody it. These are the awalim, and while their veils and skin-baring clothes seem to make them out to be cowards and noncombatants, their might is greater than any who might defy them. Originally just pleasure dancers in decadent courts, their absorption of skills from encountering the most skilled beings in history created a subcaste of skilled and beautiful performers, ready for anything to please their masters- and themselves. Awalim tap into ancient customs of propitiating mysterious spirits, animal totems, and magnifying their own will-to-power to achieve feats of daring unparalleled in the field of performance art.
This is a 20-level class for the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game.
This product is part of the Paths of Power II: Paths of Blood Work-in-Progress.

Prestige Archetype: Dragon Disciple
As some of the most ancient, powerful, and capricious creatures in existence, dragons occasionally enter into trysts with unsuspecting mortals or sire offspring with exceptional individuals. Likewise, the great power wielded by these creatures has long intrigued wizards and alchemists who have sought various magical methods to infuse their bodies with draconic power. As a result, the blood of dragons runs through the veins of many races. For some, this heritage manifests as a sorcerous bloodline; for others the power of their draconic ancestors becomes an obsession and they focus all their magic on expressing it, becoming something close to true dragons.
Prestige Class: Dragon disciple.
Build Classes: Magus, sorcerer.
Role: With the magic at their disposal, dragon disciples can assume the typical role of a magic-user, hampering the movement of the enemy and hurling damage-dealing spells at their opponents. The dragon disciples’ draconic abilities make these versatile spellcasters even more formidable, as they use their breath, natural weapons, and flight to destroy their foes directly.
What is a Prestige Archetype?
A prestige archetype is a prestige class turned into a normal 20-level class, similar to an archetype or alternate class.
The goal when making these prestige archetypes has been to capture the flavor of the prestige class rather than to make an exact copy of how it would normally be. Attack bonuses, hit dice, class skills, spells, and class features have been unified and spread evenly over levels. This means that most prestige archetypes have their prestige abilities spread over the entire 20 level spread. Unlike how prestige classes normally work, these archetypes have a few complete class abilities rather than many abilities limited to a low level. In some cases, you get the choice of one of several class abilities rather than stymied versions of all the abilities.
A prestige archetype generally has elements of one or more regular character classes, to represent how prestige prerequisites were met and character development after the prestige class has ended. Sometimes there is more than one class that naturally leads itself to a particular prestige class, which can lead to several different prestige archetypes for different combinations. A few are not built on a regular class, instead expanding the idea behind the prestige class to a full 20 levels. —Carl Cramér

Continuing the ongoing saga of the Purple Mountain megadungeon, at level VII, and more dangerous than ever.
An adventure for 7th level characters.

Purple Duck Storeroom: Alternate Class Abilities
“In a nondescript dwelling, down a dusty hallway, past rooms of unclear purpose, there is a door... a door that looks like many others, except for the ancient maroon tint of the aged wood, and, of course, the glowing runes emblazoned on the stones that make up the door-frame. Should you know its purpose, should you know the correct sequence to touch those runes, you might gain entry to a Storeroom of wonders, shelves and bins and racks beyond counting. Place your torch in the rusty sconce, and enter...”
The Purple Duck Storeroom is a series of tightly-focused supplements that cover topics that do not fit into our larger offerings. They are the pieces that just don’t fit anywhere else or they are the little things we work on to take a break from bigger projects like Purple Mountain, Legendary Treasures, or Lands of Porphyra. They have been stored here for safe keeping.
We've all had it happen. You want to create a specific type of character but to get the abilities you want you are forced to level dip to gain what you want. In the meantime some other abilities you possess in your primary class are never used. There needs to be a better way. This product came about from my discussions with Patricia Willenborg about the scarcity of the poison use class ability.
How do alternate class abilities work?
* To take an alternate class ability, you must give up a class ability of the same level when you level up or retrain.
* Bonus feats and divine auras are not considered class abilities for the purpose of these rules.
* Spellcasters may give up a level of spellcasting progression to gain alternate class abilities if they wish.
* All substitutions made are subject to GM’s approval.
* This release includes class abilities from the base classes found in the Pathfinder Core Rulebook and the Advanced Player's Guide.
