We shall see. It's actually starting off quite unpleasant from a weather standpoint - rainy and cool. The temperature actually dropped down to the mid 50s overnight. I had to put on a light jacket to take the dog out to potty. Brrr....
I think the rain is supposed to stop for a few days now, but the cooler temps will stay until at least around Thursday. So I suppose that's kind of good. We're definitely in the "April showers" phase though.

I met a magical fairy yesterday who said she would grant me one wish.
"I wish to live forever," I said.
"Sorry," said the fairy, "I'm not allowed to grant that particular wish."
"Fine," I said, "then I want to die the day after Congress is filled with honest, hard-working, bipartisan men and women who act only in the people's best interests."
"You crafty bastard," replied the fairy.

There was this kind of nice Elon Musk story. A 15 year old dying of cancer wanted to meet him. When he called her, she was too tired to speak. So she wrote down a list of questions, but died before they could speak again.
Musk took time to answer every question. The last one was asking if a plushie she created could be the official SpaceX mascot. He agreed. So he's not a complete douche.

There was an interesting study done that indicated adults age 65-94 who reported higher levels (?) of loneliness also did worse on memory tests. This is something I see in my mother all the time. I wish we could have moved her here to Texas, where she could have been closer to myself and my younger brother, and the five grandkids we gave her.

A life jacket from a Titanic survivor sold at auction for $900K. My wife questioned what kind of person would buy something like that. I had to point out it's a big piece of history. Much like people paying a fortune for a painting by someone famous. Or a rare comic book. If people have the money, they will buy things like that.

Ugh! Returned home after picking up the boy from his practice hike and the daughter is watching the live action How to Train Your Dragon. I was saddened to see other studios engaging in the Disney tactic of creating soulless abominations as cash grabs.
Not to mention how much they screwed up the cast, and Vikings in general (though the animated did that as well).

Now I just have to figure out what I might like to watch on TV tonight. My brother suggested some show on HBO called DTF (I think). He described it as some suburban people up to sexual shenanigans.
So, basically, your typical Hollywood fantasy about what suburban life should be. The usual deviant crap being projected onto people who would, under normal circumstances, be better humans than them.

I just realized something. Stephen King totally ripped off at least part of the idea for his book The Outsider from the sixth episode of season 1 of Supernatural. That the episode introducing shape shifters.
Can’t say I’m surprised. And I guess I wouldn’t be surprised the show runner of Supernatural didn’t call him out on it. King is the much bigger dog in that fight.
