This is an invitation to co-operate, extended to the communities of the North West who have the infestations of the Monster Home Hex -15-03 near us.

It seems likely that this will be a source of problems for several of us, in particular, Elkhaven, Kabal, Tavernhold, and Terra Australis. I hope that we may make plans to work together to ensure that the creatures which issue forth from this thrice-cursed land may be dealt with before they can become a blight on our homes and citizenry.

I welcome the chance to work with you all to establish a constant surveillance and a structured defence of the region. I hope we may also count on other groups, as well, to venture into this forbidding land in hopes of a share of any glory and wealth we may find there, and to ensure a level of security for all.

Yours, in Service to Elkhaven and her Companies
Caldeathe Baequiannia, Ambassador Pro Tem
Spiritual Counselor to the Family Morrigan.

I will be operating out of Ozem's Vigil, and would gladly help as needed to keep the region secure.

Goblin Squad Member

Excellent Traianus! We look forward to working with you.

Goblin Squad Member

I will be there if you call, Caldeathe. It is what paladins do. It is what anyone does for friends.

Goblin Squad Member

While I wouldn't want to say I presumed, I anticipated your participation. Welcome, Bringslite.

Callambea, a proponent of trade and commerce for the River Kingdoms, hopes to broach the topic of good trade and commerce with the entities of the Northwest. As the position within the Coalition and Empire closest to the Northwest, I wish you all good fortune in your endeavor, and look forward to future discussions with our neighbors.

- Krow
Ambassador of Callambea (Of the Cities Slightly to the Southeast of Northwest)

Goblin Squad Member

Many thanks, Krow. I hope that Callambea's famed markets will prove a popular place for many of our citizens. I also hope that in addition to trade, Callambea may feel it prudent to participate, on occasion, in helping to keep the area safe from ambulatory environmental threats that tend to escalate when certain regions are ignored. Such forays, I'm told, can often prove lucrative for all concerned if handled cooperatively.

The Gauntlet has floated a similar idea to nearby neighbors and we are interested in continuing the discussion. I suspect that the groups who chose this corner were, like us, intrigued by the frontier. Like any frontier dangers lurk and help is often leagues away. In addition, as the game expands, it will be the frontier settlements who will be the first to explore beyond the edge.

Goblin Squad Member

Welcome, Taverian of The Gauntlet. I hope we may all look forward to exposing and securing the frontier borders together.

And while I cannot speak for all of Tavernhold, but as for the Dream Seekers, keeping our immediate area safe for travelers passing through is kinda our thing.

ie

We are with you.

We certainly plan on being active in the NW as well

All welcome.

That's definitely a statement.

Goblin Squad Member

I don't speak for Ozem's Vigil but I certainly plan on getting around, especially to the taverns. I'm sure I'll put down more than a few monsters on the way!

Might want to change the tag to Tavernhold, if you still can. ;)

Oops, thanks Shane.

Glad to have you, Malwunra.

Bunibuni, I'll take that as a commitment of forces. Thanks!

Well, it is a commitment of something. :-)

Goblin Squad Member

Or commitment of somebody.

Certainly a totally different statement if Bluddwolf did it...

Terra Australis Incognito will answer any call to assist in maintaining the balance in the region

Goblin Squad Member

Excellent, Terra Australis Incognito, I look forward to working with you.

Goblin Squad Member

*Shrugs* I guess I could join in on the fun.

Goblin Squad Member

You'd certainly be welcome to help in monster suppression, BrotherZael. I think we can find enough to make everyone happy.

Goblin Squad Member

Reading Between the Lines (Canis Castrum) will aid in defense of the north west settlements.

Goblin Squad Member

Your presence is welcome, omnipotentseal

Goblin Squad Member

Caldeathe,

The number of entities coming to this table is growing! Congratulations!

Are you hosting any discussions of the North West cooperation on any specific forums, or are you keeping the discussion here for the time being?

I hate to be a buzz kill (no, seriously, it's almost against my religion), but there's weeks left. We have no idea where our settlement will end up until the Land Rush ends. Until then, we're rather hesitant about making agreements based on neighbors we're not sure we'll have.

I think that is a fair call Virgil.

On the other hand, and just FYI for everyone, this seems to me just to be a call asking if people are interested in working together IF they land near each other. Specifically and ONLY about controlling escalations.

True. However, I've noticed that agreements beget agreements. They're almost as bad as rabbits. As a chaotic group, we sign as few agreements as possible to maintain our way of life and to keep the treaty population low. If you don't watch out, you're going to be inundated with treaties and will need to call in some barbarians to chop them away for you.

Bringlsite and Virgil have the right-of-it. This will remain a nebulous thing until we are in-game because we don't know who are neighbours will be for-certain, and there can't really be much "planning" until we can talk about schedules for participation.

I hope the notion is organic enough that it will go on even if Elkhaven ceases to be in the north, or exist as a settlement. For now, it's more of a "meet your neighbours-of-the-moment" and see if they're interested in joining the soccer team when summer rolls round." (edit) or maybe "neighbourhood watch" is a better description than soccer team.

Goblin Squad Member

Virgil, you are entirely correct.

Hi Norm it is me Kyle

Now that the Land Rush is over, who are the confirmed participants in Cal B's North West monster bashing initiative? :)

Or the GWK as they will soon be called....

Goblin Squad Member

It's all hush-hush for now as our leaders hack out the details for trade,non-aggression and/or alliance[s].

As Kabal's Official Court Jester, I can tell you anything you want to know, and you can rest assured that I'm telling you the Truth, except for when I am Lying. :-)
