Shadow Lodge

You are gm'ing a player character for months and just don't know what to do with them and then just suddenly it clicks? I just hand one of those and I'm so happy I figured out something as I had had no clue what I could do with the character narratively that would be interesting. Have any other gm's had this happen before, what's your story, and what gave you that eureka moment?

Sovereign Court

Gming a player character?

Grand Lodge

He means running a game with the character. Someone who you're not sure how to engage in the story until something perfect comes along.

I've had my share of problems, but none that suddenly clicked. I've had plenty where I knew just how to engage them and never had a problem. So no middle ground.

Sovereign Court

Yeah, happened a few times.

Pretty much this. I have PCs I've figured out relatively quickly, and PCs I just can't seem to hook, but never some I've strung along session after session and then suddenly everything lines up.
