Dragons Demand Part 3 Question

Our game has been running very wonky, and i have questions about what should happen in a situation.

So, we have mirror characters of our PFS characters in Dragons Demand, and tomorrow the GM said we're going on a shorter route to finally get this all over with. The full party is not going to be playing this game, and we won't get to explore to find all additional items that may exist to help us fight this dragon/set up to fight this dragon. So, I expect our entire party to die in this game tomorrow.

The question is... If we all die, do we still get all the rewards of the sheets in full, and no actual character dies? I've been told on the boards this, but it wasn't 100% confirmed. I feel that the GM will kill us and say our characters are dead and won't reward the sheets. What actually happens here. because I need to know for a certainty.

If you're playing in home game mode, your PFS characters do not get reported as dead. AFAIK, you would get a chronicle sheet with just the items you actually encountered, and just the portion of xp, gp and prestige from the encounters you successfully completed. Might be worth it depending on how important that 4th chronicle is to you (can't get that unless you play the whole thing in campaign mode).

From your phrase "get this all over with", it sounds as if your GM may be a bit burnt out. I might suggest setting the game aside for a short period to let him recharge, then complete it when he's ready to give it a good go. Since you are playing as a home game, there is no cost to you other than time.

Regardless, Mystic Lemus is correct. Your PFS characters are not actually involved, so once you get your chronicles you will apply them as you see fit. Anything not completed will be cut from the final chronicle, but otherwise there is no loss to you.

I wish my PFS characters were involved. I'd have my suave dwarf paladin melt misty Maffei's haughty heart.

Oh yeah, he'd probably stay alive to boot. Unlike my two previous home game characters who had pretty miserable fates.

Spoiler:
That said, playing as Maffei has been pretty fun. I'm fairly sure this'll be my first and last time as a Bestiary creature character, heh.

I'm running Dragon's Demand at present, and I think Maffei may be one of my favorite friendly npcs ever.

We completed it, and I slayed the Dragon with a critical hit from my shield bash. We zoomed right through this game, so I really didn't get much of the intended experience that was meant to be given. Maffei I am not entirely sure who that is, but I'm going to assume the shadow creature that can join your party? We turned her away because at the time we had a full party, but when we got to part 3 we no longer had everyone playing, and I would have liked her help.

One party member died, and we got our sheets.
