Hey.. I'm thinking about starting a city campaign.. lots of crawling around in sewers and fighting the forces of evil that have gripped the denizens in claws of fear.. that sort of thing.
My question is.. In Golarion.. what would be a good city to detail out for my campaign? Any suggestions? I have plenty of adventure ideas.. just have to put together the city.. maps, npcs, details, etc. etc. I guess I could just pick one at random but any of these cities stick out in your guys's mind as unique enough to build a whole campaign around it?

Well, Korvosa and Magnimar have entire city books, as does Kaer Maga. Korvosa also has the Curse of the Crimson Throne AP focused on it, Riddleport is gone into in the first couple of volumes of Second Darkness, and Westcrown in Cheliax is the focus of the council of thieves AP.
All those sound possible and would save you the most work given that there's quite a bit on them already.

I'd go for Magnimar or Kaer Maga.
Magnimar is more of a classic fantasy city. Good people, but with a lot of hidden underbelly. Two major selling points are the Irespan (a giant bridge that literally overshadows part of town and contains several Thassilonian dungeons in its supports) and the monuments (that can be tapped for minor boons if you know what's up with them).
Kaer Maga is an insane melting pot. It's more on the Sigil/Ptolus end of things, with never needing an excuse to drop any kind of character into the city. It's freaking ancient and has layer after layer of dungeons underneath. There's a lot going on, so it's a bit harder to introduce.
Magnimar has its main book (City of Monuments), plus some information in the Shattered Star adventure path. Kaer Maga also has a book (City of Strangers), some extra info in Asylum Stone, and probably some in Redemption Engine when it comes out.
Cheers!
