What's up with the hoodies? Are they trying to be the Assassin's Creed guy?

I think they are trying to be Oliver Queen.

And yes, this is making me want to make a Zen Archer.

Most of that is so unnecessary. What I would like to see is actual free-running on an urban course with targets that we see hit. An actual chase scenario that has targets to shoot at.

In fact, none of those shots show the arrows hitting anything. I am just going to assume none of them would be very accurate.

Color me not impressed.

All that said, yes it is cool in some respects and I can see why it inspires you.

Now this guy, he really impresses me and shows me that Pathfinder doesn't even get close to what is humanly possible for archery.

Yes, I've seen that video and while it's more realistic it's as about a interesting as watching paint dry. For academic purposes yeah that guy is hitting the hell out of his targets and IS way more accurate.

But I dont play / run RPG's to simulate dry static reality. I like the kinetics and movement of combat as portrayed in movies and TV. And that's not putting down real/actual combat.

I enjoy boxing, I LIKE actually boxing. I like watching actual boxing and MMA matches.

But I also really, really appreciate good choreographed fights in movies and TV mostly movies. That's where me and RPG's link up.

I dont care about how real it is or needs to be. We're rolling a 20-sided dice and adding some numbers together to see if we hit. There's no reason why in my head (or verbal description) as a player my character inst doing crazy evasive maneuvers trying not to be hit while at the same time trying to nail his target.

That may not be "real" or it may be "unnecessary" but that's not why I'm playing / running RPG's...
