GM credit spellbook access

Liberty's Edge 1/5

Quick question. Can I, if I apply my GM credit to a character who has the ability to copy from spellbooks, copy from a spellbook that the PCs could have found in the scenario? ie if the scenario features a wizard, who's spellbook is listed in his equipment, and I apply my GM credit to my Magus PC can my Magus copy from the Wizard's spellbook?

Just wanted to know, so I don't miss out on opportunities for adding spells to my spell/formula books.

The Exchange 5/5

short answer.
No.
In fact, you can't even copy from the scrolls that the Chronicle gives you access too (without buying them that is).

(wow... I sounded mean there. Sorry! wish it were a different answer - cause I run several Wizards and Alchemists, and I try to judge often too...)

Agreed. Its pretty cut and dry here. No spellbook access for scribing if you are the GM or Day Job rolls :)

Grand Lodge 4/5

Actually, there are two situations where the GM can either get a Day Job roll (Boon: Extra Hours) ore benefit from giving up his day job roll (the new GM star boon chronicles).

Lets not confuse the issue with talk of boons and the like. The Stock standard rules dont allow for it. Boons et al which often let you do things outside of the stock standard rules allow for other thing, but we should treat them seperately to the standard rules
