Is this, Will this... Pathfinder Online: Thornkeep (PFRPG) a hint of what the starter town will have to offer.

I'd presume the Paizo designers will use their prowess. Functionally the idea was to have different Alignment starter settlements (NPC) to indicate to to new players in OE risk etc. not sure if that is still the plan. Also EE not sure how much lore will be added permanently or reassigned?

The town of Thornkeep, which is detailed in that book, is intended to be the Chaotic-aligned starter town; it should be similar to the one presented in the book for flavor at the very least. Of course I must defer to the devs for a better answer on how closely they will match it up.
It is indeed a good read; I've been running the Thornkeep dungeon with my players, and the surrounding area is detailed enough in the book that you can come up with all kinds of interesting side-quests. Don't have access to the pdf at the moment, but there are over 30 locations detailed in the town, with ideas for possible quests detailed at each, as well as various locations outside the town with similar hooks for adventure. Very good book for a GM who likes to make up their adventures on the fly.
