Basing this off of ELFQUEST...but the concept of a bloodline shapers. Our group is discussing doing a theme of bloodline shapers within the races.
woodshapers and watershapers (ice/snow/frost) for wood elves.
stone/earth and metalshapers for dwarves...
gnomes - woodshapers and earthshapers
That is the basic idea...very flexible at this point.
Using this theme we would take the Stoneshape spell and expand on it.
convert it to EARTHSHAPE, WOODSHAPE, WATERSHAPE (solid form), METALSHAPE.
Add an improved "----" shape spell at 5th level and a greater "----" shape spell at 7th.
Our basic thinking is the improved is touch and within 10ft plus 10th a level can be affected. Can add fine details and moving parts have a 45% chance of working.
greater is touch and within 50ft plus 10ft a level can be affected. Can add intricate detail (life like) and moving parts have a 75% chance of working.
I would love input on this concept.. I am thinking it would follow a magus or a sorcerer concept...
Not looking at Benders but more in theme with Elfquest for this concept. Elves building beautiful tree cities by shaping the trees and surrounding forest. Dwarves creating stone cities, Drow and deep gnomes doing much the same...
this is all random thinking from our group...I just wanted to post it and see if we can get some other ideas on how get this fleshed out and keep it in the PF structure.

I would use something like shadow conjuration as inspiration, in that sharpers mimic spells that already exist and require the element be present.
Need something heavy moved?
Summon Monster (some sort of beast of burden) with an applicable template-
Water- some ooze traits or Dr/5 magic
Stone- +2 con and str
Metal- +4 AC
Wood-mild Regeneration when exposed to sunlight and water.
Need a platform, wall, or similiar?
Its like a wall spell of applicable level, except-
Water- +10% hardness, always difficult terrain
Stone- +10% hardness, +10% Hp
Metal- +20% AC
Wood- Well, there's already woodshape..

So here is my first attempt. I am doing the base line spells that form the core of what a shaper can do.
Stone Shape (from PFSRD)
School transmutation [earth]; Level cleric/oracle 3, druid 3, sorcerer/wizard 4; Domain artifice 3, earth 3
CASTING
Casting Time 1 standard action
Components V, S, M/DF (soft clay)
EFFECT
Range touch
Target stone or stone object touched, up to 10 cu. ft. + 1 cu. ft./level
Duration instantaneous
Saving Throw none; Spell Resistance no
DESCRIPTION
You can form an existing piece of stone into any shape that suits your purpose. While it's possible to make crude coffers, doors, and so forth with stone shape, fine detail isn't possible. There is a 30% chance that any shape including moving parts simply doesn't work.
Variations of the spell can be learned: (domain changes to type below)
(Wood) Wood Shape – any living wood can be used . Component: wood ( any living form)
(Water) Ice Shape – any existing piece of ice, snow, or frost (solid water). Component: water (any form)
(Metal) Metal Shape – any existing piece of metal. Component: piece of metal matching the material you want
Improved Stone Shape (working)
School transmutation [earth]; Level cleric/oracle 4, druid 4, sorcerer/wizard 5; Domain artifice 4, earth 4
((is the level correct for the improvement? - I simply bumped it up one level based on the baseline spells for 5th level wizard/sorcerer)
CASTING
Casting Time 1 standard action
Components V, S, M/DF (soft clay and small pinch of metallic dust)
EFFECT
Range close (25 feet + 5 feet every caster level)
Target stone or stone object touched, up to 10 cu. ft. + 1 cu. ft./level
Duration concentration
Saving Throw none; Spell Resistance no
DESCRIPTION
You can form an existing piece of stone into any shape that suits your purpose. While it's possible to make detailed designs and intricate patterns like art work and sculptures with improved stone shape, extremely fine details are not possible (for example a life like model of a person. There is a 30% chance that any shape including moving parts simply doesn't work. You can create moving parts within a shape but that requires 1 turn +1d4 turns to complete the process of creating those parts. To create those details, patterns, and parts you must be touching the stone as you shape it in your mind to get the exact details and patterns in place.
Variations of the spell:
Improved Wood Shape – any living wood can be used in lieu of stone. Component: wood ( any living form) and a pinch of metallic dust.
Improved Ice Shape – any existing piece of ice, snow, or frost (solid water). Component: water (any form) and a pinch of metallic dust.
Improved Metal Shape – any existing piece of metal. Component: piece of metal matching the material you want to shape and a pinch of metallic dust.
Greater Stone Shape (working)
School transmutation [earth]; Level cleric/oracle 5, druid 5, sorcerer/wizard 6; Domain artifice 5, earth 5
((Again is the level correct?))
CASTING
Casting Time 1 standard action
Components V, S, M/DF (soft clay and small pinch of gemstone dust)
EFFECT
Range medium (100 feet + 10 feet every caster level)
Target stone or stone object touched, up to 50 cu. ft. + 5 cu. ft./level
Duration concentration
Saving Throw none; Spell Resistance no
DESCRIPTION
You can form an existing piece of stone into any shape that suits your purpose. While it's possible to make extremely detailed designs and intricate patterns that appear to be life like with great stone shape, extremely fine details are possible (for example a life like model of a person. There is a 20% chance that any shape including moving parts simply doesn't work. You can create moving parts within a shape but that requires 1 turn +1d4 turns to complete the process of creating those parts. To create those fine details, patterns, and parts you must be touching the stone as you shape it in your mind to get the exact details and patterns in place. If creating an item there is a 10% chance it is a masterwork item.
Variations of the spell:
Great Wood Shape – any living wood can be used in lieu of stone. Component: wood ( any living form) and a pinch of gemstone dust.
Great Ice Shape – any existing piece of ice, snow, or frost (solid water). Component: water (any form) and a pinch of gemstone dust.
Great Metal Shape – any existing piece of metal. Component: piece of metal matching the material you want to shape and a pinch of gemstone dust.
