For some unexplainable reason,Instead of going in order of the RPG the devs. have skipped quite a few and jumped on S&S instead.
whats bugging me is why shattered star was never the first one instead of ROTRL since it seems to fit a more classical RPG standpoint and seems so much more fun with dragons and treasure and lost artefacts! As vic and mike have already proven, they threw continutity out the window for this series and i would of rather had dragons and the shattered star over goblins and girls with parental problems. But, thats just me oh and if you guys do make a verison of shattered star give us a real life actual diecast/plastic model of its seven pieces

I'm not familiar with the Pathfinder RPG adventure paths. But maybe the reasoning has to do with this:

In our RPG line, most of our Adventure Paths make no assumptions about whether other Adventure Paths have "happened" in your world. Which is to say that it doesn't matter if you play Rise of the Runelords before Skull & Shackles, or after it—you won't find anything in one that assumes or contradicts things that happen in the other, so the stories can be placed in any order.
But there's one exception to that: The Shattered Star Adventure Path presumes that, in your world, the events of three other Adventure Paths have already occurred: Rise of the Runelords, Curse of the Crimson Throne, and Jade Regent. (It doesn't require that you have personally played those APs—it just presumes that the events described in them have actually happened.
As a result, if we decide to adapt Shattered Star in the ACG, it will likely be after any of the others on that list that we wish to adapt.
