Last night the party began exploring south of the river. An unfortunate encounter with swarms of crows left three of the five adventurers completely blind. In the aftermath, the group decided it best to barricade themselves inside the livery and blockhouse to rest and acquire needed spells. The group set up their defenses and boarded the place up from the inside. I decided the only access point was a small window that takes a full turn to squeeze through.
After a quick encounter with a group of spriggan scouts investigating the commotion from earlier, something clicked and I had a burst of inspiration. Since the creatures can change their size from small to large these guys need to be based off Lord Humongous and the Marauders. The full force is coming back to lay siege to the house. Agai the Humongous will offer the party safe passage in exchange for all of their possessions. He is wearing a thong and covers his face with a metal mask. I added a spyglass for a sight to his crossbow. It gives flavor but is pretty much useless in terms of mechanics. One of the gang members will be worked up into a frenzy for revenge over the death of his lover that the party killed. There will also be a today to announce the master's arrival before he threatens the party.
I am pretty excited about the potential for this encounter. Hopefully I will have an opportunity to watch the Road Warrior before the next session to get more ideas. Any comments or critiques are welcome. Any suggestions for titles or words that rhyme with ayatollah are more than appreciated.
