Since there are files to print off characters, has anyone played two copies of the same character in a scenario (but give them different names)? You would have to tweak starting equipment.
I can see a situation where two different parties lose members, and are merged, causing dups. Do people merge parties? Or have adventurers travel from party to party?

I tried this a few days ago, but only got through one scenario before needing to stop for the day. 6-man party, 3 Harsk and 3 Valeros. Let's just say... things die. Hard. A lot.
You definitely have to tweak starting equipment, but I do that anyways. One of my favorite things about the game is that they have a method for building your own decks.
My only rule for myself on it is that since I'm using duplicates and understand beforehand it's probably broken, if one dies the party is down a character. The character isn't replaced by another Harsk or Valeros, or any other character. If someone dies, it's a 5 man party. We go until everyone is dead!! Well, or we kill everything in the Adcenture Path...

We have shied away from answering what we call "social contract questions" like this. There are probably some gameplay reasons why you wouldn't want to do that, but because we can imagine two people from different groups wanting to play Seoni in the same game, we don't want to prohibit that behavior. Just be aware that if you run into some weirdnesses with your 6-Lem party, it won't shock us.
