mean I definitely shouldn't put in a big ol block where the map would fit? I don't actually have the map the quest I'm working on would take, so should I just put something like [INSERT MAP: MAPNAME] where the map would go on the page?

Also, does the underlined phrase mean I shouldn't put the text in two columns like most of the books are? What this boils down to is: I would like a clearer definition of "additional styles".

2. Will I have to account for bracketed text in my word count as per the following?

Better to use bracketed art notes like [Begin boxed text] and [End boxed text] to indicate where you want such text to begin and end than to use a style that isn't correct based on Paizo's existing material.

3. I want to use a monster from the upcoming Bestiary 3 box set as my miniature, but the list has not been released yet. This of course means I cannot know for sure whether or not my monster is one of the available miniatures, but the iconic nature of the monster as well as its abilities suggest it would be a likely candidate. Should I use something else in the meantime, or wait to see if it is released?

Thanks for your time, this Open Call is an awesome opportunity for so many people! I don't want to do anything that would jeopardize my submission.

Pathfinder Society Quests do not include new or custom cartography, and must utilize a single map taken from the GameMastery Map Pack or GameMastery Flip Mat lines. All submissions must indicate what map is used within the adventure.

I would let the Paizo formatting people do their job and format the file. Anything beyond bold/italics that couldn't be done in a plain text file is missing the point.

Just be sure to be clear about what map is being used.
