I like Touhou* and Pathfinder, so I'm gonna talk about Touhou in a Paizo forum. Here's what I'm particularly interested in.
• How would you stat up the characters in Pathfinder terms? Note that you'll almost certainly have to at least tweak class features for even the most intuitive ones.
• If you were to do a Touhou/Pathfinder crossover then how would you reconcile the metaphysical and temporal differences between the two settings?
• Which Touhou characters would you like to see in Golarion, and what would you like to see them do?
• Other things that aren't at the top of my head that I can't put in this post because of the one-hour editing window.
• Touhou talk that isn't Pathfinder related, because being restrictive will inhibit thread growth.
Here's hoping there's enough interest to keep this thread going, and that there's someone at Paizo who knows what I'm talking about.

*Short answer to "What is Touhou?" In the words of Jess Adams: "Freaky magic laser girls playing magic paintball because reasons." Said reasons being that a dueling culture seems to cut down on the real violence.

I enjoy Touhou. I would love to see it playable in a tabletop format.
I don't think it's going to really translate well to a Pathfinder system though.
The sheer variety of yokai, and their various powers, does not lend itself to a limited system with standardized abilities. You can make something set in gensokyo, or with playable yokai characters, but I don't think you'll replicate Touhou.
That being said, I'm willing to help converting yokai types into races, or whatnot if you want to try it.

I've also had plans for awhile to try to use the chassis of the summoner to make a doll mage class, inspired by Alice.
I've used Touhou inspired elements in a game before, but it was oWoD. Unique, one off characters and abilities are easier to insert in that system, I've found.
As far as personal character preferences, alot of those are easy to translate, like Marisa, and Patchy. If I can get the doll mage class ready, Alice is taken care of (and Medicine if somebody prefers). Others translate less effectively, like Sakuya or Flandre. Nitori would be fun as well, but doesn't fit into any extant class I can think of.
Just talking about this, I now have the urge to stat Cirno as a recurring joke boss battle for my next campaign. :)

Good to see some people interested in this thread, we just need to give it enough and it'll be noticed enough to be self-sustaining.
Scythia: "The sheer variety of youkai, and their various powers, does not lend itself to a limited system with standardized abilities."
I disagree, though creating unique outsiders and fey would take some work. For example, Mamizou would be easy, just give her sorcerer and rogue levels; Nue, however, would need to be made from whole cloth.
Anyway, what youkai interest you the most?
Scythia: "I've also had plans for awhile to try to use the chassis of the summoner to make a doll mage class, inspired by Alice."
I've been focusing on Byakuren, myself. I have her mostly figured out: transmuter 17/archmage 2 with an artifact and enhanced spell list. I'm still trying to get her ability scores just right but I've a good general idea at least.
As for other characters mentioned in-thread, here're my suggestions.
Alice: Universialist wizard, replacing arcane bond and school abilities with a construct swarm companion. It'd work like animal companion except it'd be made out of dolls.
Cirno: Start with creating the Gensokyo fairy race first, then add levels of sorcerer (boreal). Have her go up in levels but always be three levels behind the party.
Flandre: Making an alternate vampire template for the Scarlets is easy, just account for their greatly reduced sunlight vulnerability and their inability to cross running water. What's tricky is mapping Flan to a class, since she's pretty much just a kid. I'd stat her up like a unique undead instead.
Marisa: The simplest solution is to make her an evoker/rogue, though I've given a bit of thought to reworking the upcoming investigator class for her. Just give her a different spell list, talent selection, and replace inspiration with Master Spark.
Nitori: I think Artificers ran over James' dino puppy in Eberron or something because I can't think of any other reason they're not an official base class. We'll probably have to wait for Iron Gods before we can cludge something.
Patchouli: The squishiest of wizards. Her class is easy, but I'm still trying to factor in her poor health in a way that won't wreck her hit points. There's also mapping her 7-elements paradigm to the 8-schools paradigm of Pathfinder.
Sakuya: Either a rogue or slayer, with her timehax represented by alternate talents.
