Introductory Scenarios

I have a group of players that are veteran gamers but new to PFS. I was considering running In Service to Lore just to give the players a chance to explore the Factions during play. With 2 of the three scenarios retired, what are people using to complete the introduction?

Should I even bother with In Service to Lore or should I just start off with another scenario? Any recommendations?

The First Steps series wasn't terribly interconnected. First Steps 1 works very well on its own, and I would still recommend it. It features four of the remaining faction heads, and the other 4 are easily explained.

Alternatively, there's a fantastic new scenario called The Confirmation that you might also find useful.

Definitely the Confirmation. It was written to "graduate" adventurers into pathfinders with their final mission before commissioning. It can also change each time it is played. It also sets a good tone of what a pathfinder should be and reinforces the three core values of the Society. It is also Season 5 so the Chronicle sheets are in the format we will be using going forward.

Master of the Fallen Fortress -> In Service to Lore -> The Confirmation

It takes them from "Independent Adventurer" to "Student Pathfinder" to "Pathfinder Graduate" and starts their pathfinder career at level 2

I have to agree on The Confirmation. It is a great scenario and the feature of not playing. the same way each time is an awesome addition. It is one that I would run multiple times (and hopefully get to play at least once). Great starter scenario.

Are all the chronicle sheets on the "additional resources" page up to date for use in Season 5 or is there an errata sheet we need to reference?
