Hey y'all! I'm planning on playing a half-elf paladin for this AP!
I was thinking of going the relatively tanky route, but I've filled that role without a sword and board before, using a greatsword, and I'm not really certain of what route to go with my paladin. I know that I want to be a half-elf paladin (which is somewhat sub-optimal) but I was wondering how I could compensate for race? In general, I'm looking for recommendations people have for builds for this AP?
And, in addition - any advice on playing a paladin in this AP in particular would be really welcome! I tend to play paladins that are all focused on talking, redemption, and diplomacy, and I'm not certain if that's the route I should be going here. I'd really appreciate whatever advice anybody has! Thanks!

You can always modify the half-elf using the Advanced Race Guide. For instance, "Drow Magic" could replace Adaptability and Multitalented traits, which allows you to be a little bit more optimized... and could even be part of your back-story in that you're seeking redemption (or have found it) from a parentage that is decidedly not good.
And trust me. diplomacy and redemption are huge themes in WotR so feel free to indulge in this once more!

One of the racial alternate traits for a half-elf replaces Skill Focus with Exotic Weapon Proficiency - you could pick some fancy weapon like elven curved blade - or simply a bastard sword and use it in one or two hands as you would see fit.
Or you could use half-elven Skill Focus to increase your Diplomacy.

You might want to consider using half-elf paladin favored class option to increase range of your auras by 5 feet every five levels. It might be helpful to the party granting bonuses to fear, charm and compulsion effects.
I looked through the archetypes but I don't know if you should go for an archetype or go straight paladin.
