rule question, timing?

Rules Questions and Gameplay Discussion

can someone as simple as they can, explain the timing of certain cards, mainly spells and items, my group has a very good understanding about the game now, but we run into timing things that we have to guess on, ill list different examples, one being someone using cure on themselves, or using a spell like aid, can they do this anytime they want, like right after their turn but before the next player's? I know the part of resetting your hand, they say you are no longer allowed to play cards for that step, so is it wrong to play a spell before the next turn even if its after drawing your new hand? also what about the divine candle thing, that puts blessings back from the turn counter deck, is it usable only on the player who wields it's turn? and black fang, encountering him, would people do their closing checks before you do the acid damage check? and while im thinking about it, the monster ghoul, whats his ability all about, where it says to reset your hand?

Try the Turn Sequence Breakdown docs on BGG for starters.

There's a problem with their file downloads at the moment so I posted a link to the file on dropbox in the comments.

If you have any follow up questions just post here or on the BGG thread!

alright, ill check it out, what about the ghoul though, whats it mean when it says reset your hand?

It means you jump immediately to the "reset your hand" stage of your turn and then your turn is over.

ah, okz, thanks, I thought it might be saying to discard your whole hand and draw a full new one, seemed damaging >.>

Nope. If they wanted you to discard your hand and draw a new one, they would say that.
