What kind of class and character would afro samurai be?

I don't know if I'm posting this the right place, but how would you build an Afro Samurai esque character. Would he be a fighter? A weaponized monk? The samurai archtype without the horse? This is tough because he usually doesn't wear any armor, only caries his swords, and really likes lemonade. Any advice on this build would be helpful.

I would make a monk, than use feats to focus on Katana skills.
Weapon Focus (Katana)for starters, but there are so many ways you could take that. sounds fun

My first impulse would be to make him a monk with a katana. He could be built as a feat heavy fighter though if you make it just right but I think monk would still work better.
