Veterans Day

Hello, consider honoring Veterans today meaningfully, with a donation to the USO. The United Service Organization is nonpartisan and instrumental in making the lives of our servicemen and servicewomen, their spouses, and children a little more bearable as they give of themselves in defense of the liberties we enjoy.

Thank you for your consideration.

Huzzah!!

I mean Hooah!!

Anyone that's been deployed, stranded at an airport, or too broke to buy lunch should be able to attest to what a Godsend the USO is.

Go Army, Beat Navy. ;)

Armistice Day for WWI, symbolically set for the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month. My grandfather use to grouse about that, probably thinking of those who died in trenches waiting for the day and time that the diplomats had set.

Here is to honoring our Veterans. I'm curious though, if this same holiday is celebrated in other parts of the world, on this same day?

I would assume Armistice Day might be for WWI involved countries.

Armistice Day and Remembrance Day.

To all Veterans, families of Veterans, and the various organizations that help them. Thank you for your service and your sacrifices!

We might not be here right now, free to do the things that we do, if not for you.

For some countries it is about the dead of WWI, and later wars, while the US Veterans Day honors all veterans, living or dead. So in most countries it's more like the US Memorial Day.

I agree with the middle part. It's "Hooyah" and "Go Navy, Beat Army." -_-
