Returning and pulling cards from the box

Rules Questions and Gameplay Discussion

A certain number of cards allow you to pull from the box.

Whenever you banish a card or defeat a monster, it gets returned to the box as well.

So does this mean if you banish/defeat a card and it gets returned to the box, you'll have to rerandomize the cards in the box every time for the next time you pull a card of that type from the box?

To ease flow of the game, we actually just prerandomize the cards in the box and discard the cards we banish/defeat and they won't be encountered again in the same scenario.

I mean, it's a miniscule thing but it might matter (for encountering stuff in the same encounter you may have banished before because of cards being returned)

I think you're meant to but whether you find this too fiddly or not is up to you.

When we play we take each deck out of the box and have them in piles on the table. When we get something like 1d4 random weapons from a chest we pick up the weapons deck, give it a shuffle, play a drum roll and turn over the top card. Everybody boos (it's always a short sword first). We hush, anticipation builds... and the next card is flipped -

(to complete this story, please commence a game of PACG and break into a chest - drawing a shortsword first is optional)
