Stonehaven Miniatures are running their third Kickstarter. The subject this time is Elves.
Elven Adventurers Box Set
15 minis have already been unlocked and the first of two Trolls is also available. There's even a Kitsune available when they hit 500 backers.
The Elves (and their companions) are metal figs while the Trolls are resin.
The first two Kickstarters they ran (Dwarves and Gnomes) were quite successful and everyone seems to have been happy with the post KS service and fulfillment.

I can also recommend Stonehaven Miniatures. I pledged for a full set of their dwarves and two miniatures of their gnomes set. Both campaigns were managed very well. My dwarves package got lost in the mail but Stonehaven was fast to send a replacement. The two gnomes I pledged for in the gnomes set had a fast turn around. Two thumbs up.
The dwarves have a drawback though. Their scale doesn't match up well with any of my other miniatures which is why most of them has gone unpainted.
This one looks promising. I'm in four miniatures deep at the moment.

Picture. Not the best of images as I'm stuck with a mobil camera. If I want decent pictures I need daylight and the sun is setting earlier and earlier :/ (and it was all ready dusky due to rainy weather).
The picture includes (left to right):
* Dwarf Paladin from Stonehaven Miniatures
* Male Human Fighter from Otherworld Miniatures
* Male Dwarf Mercenary from Otherworld Miniatures
* Melisandre Wavecutter from Reaper Miniatures
* Brock Battlebow from Reaper Miniatures
* Ferrus from Hasslefree Miniatures
* Haela from Hasslefree Miniatures
Now that I looked through my miniatures I noticed that Reaper are kind of guilty with doing big dwarves as well. The scale I prefer the most is Tre Manors' RGB miniatures. Hasslefree and Otherworld works good as well. I like Darksword but they tend to be abit larger than the three previous mentioned miniatures.

Thanks Patrik. Yeah, he's a bit beefier than some of the others. More akin to GW dwarves it seems. On the other hand the gnomes from the second KS seems even smaller in comparison.
The elves in this one seems to be noticeably slimmer in contrast too (to a regular human).
I don't mind the difference so I'll still be getting some of the dwarves. :-)

The greens do make the Elves look more alien and strange, which in some ways I find really handy rather than them being tall humans. However I can see your point Patrik about them being rather cartoony.
But there's also going to be animal companions, an owl, deer & wolf - as well as the current kitsune, fairies and grippli's.
A perfect project for getting over the post Reaper blues. ;)

I agree they run a great kickstarter campaign and had no issues with them in terms of service or delivery, but when I got their gnomes and was a bit disappointed. Their minis are very 2 dimmensional. This is ok for a handful, but when you get a large quantity it really stands out. The greens for this kickstarter look like they are continuing that trend.

The gnomes came out more 2D than was intended, but it was more due to mould problems. The moulds were apparently too compressed, so the when casting the models were flattened more than intended.
As for the elves... yeah, some of the might look more "cartoony" than others. I think there's a large variety within the models, though, with some being less cartoony.

A new, male, Kitsune will be available when they reach 550 backers. So that's now two Kitsune models for all of the fans of that race.
Another Troll has also entered the line-up, a slightly smaller berzerker Troll, so now they're offering 3 Troll models in this KS (the armoured Troll from the Gnomes KS should be up on their webshop soon).
If you haven't given it a look yet, you can also get Grippli and Pixie minis + one of the adventure companies has a stag (with a wizard on the back, although it's most likely to be two separate pieces) + some more animals.

Only 3 days to go and the children have been announced with the first & second announced.
Looking at the mini's the different style is growing on me and could be used for a different race of elves (or sidhe) - maybe even half-elves. And the companions are really interesting with Kitsune, Pixies, Grippli and the amazing Trolls.
And the complete isn't too bad with 50 mini's (and expanding) for $150 with extra instruments, trestles, food.
