Should we play Perils of the the Lost Coast first?

Rules Questions and Gameplay Discussion

My regular gaming buddies are coming round tomorrow night and we plan to play at least one scenario. They are seasoned RPGers and also play a lot of board games and card games. They haven't played PFACG at all. I am quite familiar with it.

Should we start with Brigandoom! or launch into Burnt Offerings?

I think they'd prefer the story continuity of Burnt Offerings over three random beginner scenarios. And the Local Heroes scenario will help them gain better gear.

It will most likely be a party of five or six.

(And I have Attack on Sandpoint all made and ready to go.)

There's nothing really wrong with skipping the intro scenarios, but make sure you give each character a Skill Feat to start off, otherwise they'll be just a tad behind where they should be in power level. The first two scenarios in Burnt Offerings offer lots of opportunities to gain good cards for your deck, but the third one is pretty grueling, with LOTS of monsters, so make sure you've made your decks very good before you attempt that third one (I would suggest if you missed out on good cards in those first two scenarios that you run a custom scenario or two from the forums here before you run the third one in Burnt Offerings.)
