Before anyone asks, no, this isn't about animal companions.
I'm looking at this page over here and it says that stirges can be purchased as pets.
Is this a thing in Society? Come to think of it, are pets allowed besides familiars and animal companions?

Aye, you can buy lots and lots of different animals and creatures for use in the Pathfinder Society and are completely capable of handling them and training them! You should be able to see the allowable sources on the additional resources page. :)
You are banned completely from buying elephants and you can only buy a pseudo-dragon for purchase as an improved familiar or something? I'm not 100% on the rules for that as I'm not sure why you'd have to buy one.
Is it legal to have a pet stirge, though?

Yes as I said you can see on the additional resources page that they are allowed.
Pathfinder Player Companion: Adventurer's Armory
Only the 2nd printing of this book or the 1st printing augmented by the current errata (released 7/21/11) are legal for play in Pathfinder Society Organized Play.
Everything in this book is legal for play with the following exceptions: a pseudodragon is not legal for purchase unless you're a wizard with the Improved Familiar feat, elephants are never legal for play, and armored kilts are not legal.

A Stirge is going to be very hard to control, though.
Special: You can use this skill on a creature with an Intelligence score of 1 or 2 that is not an animal, but the DC of any such check increases by 5. Such creatures have the same limit on tricks known as animals do.
And a Stirge only has an Intelligence of 1, so it can know a maximum of 3 tricks.
