I just took some of them and made them in to Magic Items, minor relics or curses and added thme to my random ship/captains cabin/settlement/monster treasure list. I did about 10 of them and printed the item, cut it out and stuck it to an index card and using UE I just added similar stat blocks or made up my own. It's very random and the items may never turn up but if they ever come across the skeletal cutlass and pick it up...oh dear...(cursed intellegent item, cutlass mealds with the hand turning the arm skeletal, its powerful but the only way to break the curse cast remove curse and lower the arm into lava on the Smoker Isle)

I've used one so far. I used the mechanical toucan from "Wormwood Mutiny" to add something to do at Rickety Squib's while waiting for the ship to be refitted. I moved its location to the Slithering Coast and they did a 3 day jungle trek. It was fun. They used Besmara's Tricorne to travel up river encountering jungle hazards pulled from "Heart of the Jungle" as well as crocodiles, a tiger fish and some more vine chokers pulled from S&S AP. When they found the item, it had come to rest in a nirento pulled from "Isles of the Shackles" that they had to overcome. I made the mechanical toucan basically a Raven Figurine of Wonderous Power that was mechanical instead of magical in nature, but otherwise functioned and was worth the same.
I look forward to using more of them!

I have added them too rumor tables, I will also add them as treasure/adneture hooks a random pirate wight have a clue. A young boy, a doctor, and a Taldan nobel may be looking to hire on a ship to hunt for treasure (read Treasure Island). If no one warms to the lady of the rocks marriage proposal perhaps she will give up the deed to the rock for securing one of the treasures.
Its things like this tha make this AP a gold mine of sand boxiness. Let them chase the horizon. If the want the Tocan drop some hints and let them run it to ground. If like me you dont have to write custom adventures just drop the tocan as treasure in a separate appriate dungeon. You have the hook already minor tweak done. If they dont want to "Crack the Rock." Fine have them chase ships untill they put in at a Sargavan port town and meet Lady Vanderboren and have them run through part of Savage Tide AP.
