Names of villainous NPC's, and general descriptions, come up in the game. Also, monsters are appropriately seeded in the Adventures (ex lots of goblins in Burnt Offerings). Similarly, you will see locations which are used in the adventures prominently featured in the card game.
That said, most of the spoilers are things which you would see in the Players' Guide for the AP (like the monster types). And this is, after all, based on a story which came out 6 years ago... so there are a lot of spoilers all over the place.
I think the adventures will still have their appeal, mostly because they are well-written (especially the first 3 books, IMO), but also because the random nature of the card game is extremely unlikely to duplicate the RPG experience. Especially if your GM is willing to make minor plot changes.
