Display a card

Pathfinder Adventure Card Game General Discussion

I display a card and place it faceup in front of me.

After the card power or action is carried out is the card just left there , discarded or placed back in my hand.

I haven't seen any cards that get displayed yet, so I can't be sure, but I think the point is that the card power or action is never carried out. It's an ongoing effect, so you leave it out, and use its ability, for the rest of the game.

Do you mean "reveal" a card? You just show the card from your hand to play it, and it goes back to your hand afterwards.

No, I'm pretty sure he means "display". It's one of the ways listed in the rulebook in which a card can be played, along with "reveal", "discard", "recharge", "bury", and "banish".

Since we don't have any cards yet with the Display option, I'm assuming we will find out later on the card itself how to handle the card going away and where it goes.

What it will mean: Put it face up in front of you until told to do something else with it.

My question is related to this thread. Player has crossbow weapon card in hand. Card says reveal. Does this card also go into the discard pile after a check is resolved, or does the player keep it in the hand?

"Reveal" means show it from your hand, then after you've done whatever the reveal power is, put it back in your hand.

Straight from the rule book:

When you play a card, it will usually require you to take one of the
following actions:
• Reveal: show it from your hand then put it back in your hand.
• Discard: put it into your discard pile—a stack of faceup cards next to
your deck.

Thank you for clearing this up. Love this game.
