Fortress of the stone giants - 3 years later.... giant killer PC (spoiler)

Rise of the Runelords

Scarab Sages

We restart the Rise of the Runelords after a 3 years breaks. I have a group of 3 players, two of them did the first module in the past. They all made new characters and I worry about the fighter dwarf with build as a giant killer, will it be to easy for him, to kill most of the encounter mainly giant with low or non magic user. He just start the game with a +2 Deviant full plate against giant, and a dwaven longaxe giant bane.

For our first game, I need 20 to touch him with all giants but teraktinus.

What should I do?

Don't target the dwarf. If it becomes clear that standing next to him leads to death and they can't hit him, they would either gang up to try to take him down or take on the mooks that surround him. Make sure to have someone escape a battle to tell the tale of the invincible dwarven warrior so future combats can reasonably start with that knowledge.

Alternatively, see if you can manage any combat maneuvers against him. Disarm seems like a good candidate.

He built the character for this. Leave him shine a bit. Have the BBEG fight the others while this guy gets the mooks.

Scarab Sages

I should definitively use combat maneuver more often.
Thanks for the Q.
