First an aside related to the elf -> drow conversion:
Not all evil elves become drow. There are a number of super evil elves that are elves. From what I've read over the years since this AP was first published, there has to be an element of self-hatred and hatred of elves for the transformation to occur. (And normally demon worship, which doesn't really go with a LE elf.)
Now that I'm done with that soapbox:
1) Is your player cool with the transformation?
2) The basic drow in the Bestiary is almost in line with the standard races and at higher levels you could just switch them over without a problem. The *noble* drow on the other hand is significantly more powerful than the standard races, so I'd offset the power gain by requiring the PC to take two drow-flavored feats (per the half-elf feats in the Advanced Race Guide). OR you give the other players something to keep all your PCs at about the same power level.
3) Roleplay wise - it is described in all the books as a violent immediate change. EVIL and KILLING and such to instigate the reaction.

hello
One of my players plays a lawful evil elven mage and I have intention to make the transformation to drow. Any idea how to do the process?
First off I agree with what the person above said about LE not really being the kind of elf that becomes a drow, I see it as more likely that a CE elf that had some form of hatred of elves or demon worshiper changing.
Now on to the real issue. Have you asked the player? This isn't lycanthropy or some form of create monster spawn this is effectively a death sentence without a mechanic to back up the transformation. GOlarion elves hunt down Drow at every opportunity and are so good at it that until 2nd darkness no one else knows they even exist. SO unless you really know the person and are absolutely sure they would relish the challenge I'd stay clear because while it may be cool for the DM it takes a lot of control away from a player.
If you're sure on all fronts I'd simple switch the player over to the base drow in the ARG and let him pick up the feats from the ARg that basically change a drow to a noble through retraining if the person was interested.

The player does not know of the transformation but no problem with it either for the party or for. We played several APs, but second darkeness do not like. My players want to know the lore of the elves and I thought a good way would be that one of them becomes middle of the game.
According to AP explained in SC I think it really is evil elves in making this happen. The drow are the representation of the worst virtues of elves, petty, arrogant, envious, paranoid ... I do not think that this subject has a caotic evil character. After the transformation the alignment may change when they let the evil take over all their actions.
I think the interesting thing to change is to generate an evil feeling that grows inside the character. I think the Devils can play an important role, the lust for power is great character and combined with a strong manipulation of a powerful devil can take the character to commit horrible acts in order to have more power.
(I know that the drow worship the devil but I think this has to come later)
