It seems to me that a Cryptic's Disrupt Pattern ability is a ray attack and therefore qualifies for feats like weapon focus (ray). However, I would like some confirmation as it could be read that the ray is only a part of the fluff.
I believe the intention was for it to be a ray, yes.
