The Shining Fool

Howdy folks!
I'm probably going to be starting Rise of the Runelords around the first of the year, and I reckon I'll use the mythic rules. After all, stopping a long banished sorcerer tyrant from reclaiming his ancient throne is kind of quintessentially mythic, yeah?
As the rules suggest, I was going to start the party as regular, non-mythic characters. Their moment of ascension will either be the end of Glass and Wrath Erylium and destroy the runewell, or when they defeat Nualia.
Anyhow, here's my current track:
Chapter 1 - Tier 1 - Either Glass and Wrath (level 3) or Thistletop (level 4)
Chapter 2 - Tier 2 - The Skinsaw Man (level 6)
Chapter 2 - Tier 3 - Xanesha (level 7 or 8)
Chapter 3 - Tier 4 - Barl Breakbones (level 10 or 11)
Chapter 4 - Tier 5 - The Black Monk (level 13)
Chapter 4 - Tier 6 - Mokmurian (Level 13)
Chapter 5 - Tier 7 - Karzoug Statue (Level 15)
Chapter 6 - Tier 8 - Either Viorian or Khalib (Late 17, Early 18)
Notes on why I chose the locations I chose will be in an upcoming post. I could possibly add another tier when they defeat Nualia if their ascension is in Glass and Wrath. What do ya'll think? Any suggestions? Any comments?
What I don't want is for the mythic tiers to be the reward for finishing each chapter.
Any notes would be appreciated. :-)

The best place to gain the initial Mythic Tier is the first Runepool. I've been considering where else I could give players mythic tiers... as they're currently 7th level. I don't know... I could always have the players return to the pool because it somehow reactivated and have it explode on them and empower them.
The place to definitely provide them one is at the pool where Karzoug's Statue is, however.

I based my locations on the "mythic story structure" suggestions (page 122).
I agree that the initial Runewell in the catacombs of wrath is a perfect start. It can easily be changed to have a more "impressive setting". Erylium can definitely be considered a "cunning foe", and she can command sinspawn minions to awesome and terrifying effect. I've even considered associating her somehow with the sandpoint devil, to give it a "legendary creature" check. The problem with that being, of course, that the sandpoint devil is nasty enough by itself, and would be doubly so with Erylium.
The Skinsaw Man I feel is good because he is a "cunning" and "powerful foe". I really feel that he exemplifies "otherworldy influence".
I'm not completely sure about Xanesha.
Barl Breakbones is a powerful necromancer it would be simple to reskin the hook as an impressive ancient fortress scaled for giants, as well as tossing in a supernatural chill permeating the place.
I don't really know whether I want Mokmurian or the Black Monk to be the next breaking point, or both. Both have a lot of cool mystique about them.
I think the Karzoug Statue is an obvious choice. It's kind of the whole mythic package.
And finally, I have considered adding more influence from Leng, and having that be the mythic marker for the end. This would have them ending the campaign between tier 6 and tier 8.
Thoughts?
