In our wild west campaign, my characters are getting up in the levels and I thought that our Ranger probably will want to buy a rifle with more rounds. And why not? The Winchester repeater was "Gun That Won The West!" It had 15 bullets in that thing!
But of course there aren't rules for that... technology wise they go straight from a bolt action rifle to the Mosin-Nagant M1891 (in Rasputin Must Die!). Both cost the same (if you are workig with the 'Guns are Everywhere' rules as I am)... but the latter has 5 bullets and does a d10 instead of a d8.
So I'm left with a conundrum, how do I price out a repeater? For that matter, ANY gun that has more ammo? Theres no real precedent to go off of.
Thoughts? Comments? Snide remarks?

Doc is spot on.
d20 Past lists the purchase DC as 15, which indicates about 500gp (same price as the standard pathfinder rifle; translates to $500 in d20 modern). Winchester 1873 (2d10/20 50ft increment). I'd stat it, to keep it in line with Pathfinder firearms, as 1d10 (20/x4), half the weight of the Pathfinder rifle, and call it a day.
The only real comparison I could find in pathfinder for magazine capacity increase and cost was the repeating crossbow (heavy). It is a 700% markup to go from a standard heavy crossbow to a repeater. That's just silly.
I'd probably charge $750-$950(gp)if you're going with the Pathfinder prices (10% of standard cost due to common nature). but my estimate has no more basis in fact than Pathfinder's pricing for firearms.
Afterall, the actual price of the Winchester at the turn of the century was between $12-$19.
