I screwed up the os on my computer's hard drive. I put in the recovery disk to fix it, but when I reloaded the operating system I was drunk enough to think selecting German as my language was a good idea, since my minor in college is German. Nevermind that I haven't started my studies yet, so I don't understand the language. Now I always boot in safe mode and I can't understand anything. I try to reload the OS from the system recovery disk, but that doesn't do anything. I think I need to break the OS again first. Can a German speaker please explain exactly what to press to cause an error in loading the os, so I can reboot from the recovery disk? Thanks.

I have no experience whatsoever with Vista, but I will ask around. I can't promise any results until monday, though, so best of luck to get faster answers, I know there are some fellow German posters here on the board.
edit: I called a friend who is doing network-administration for a local energy company: There seems to be a little helper called Vistalizator that allows you to override the 'one MUI' restriction of non-Ultimate Vista versions. You need to download the respective MUI language packs seperatly, though.

Don't you just have to go through this to get to the language installation menu?
