Hi. I'm a first time GM (first time player in any tabletop RPG for matter). I was looking for some ideas/advice on the Runelords game I'm running. My party is in the Skinsaw Murders portion of Runelords. I ran the Dawn of the Scarlet Sun module shortly after they got to Magnimar (I couldn't resist. There's a cleric of Serenrae in the party and she wanted to visit the abandoned temple and pay her respects). The succubus, Avalexi, survived and got away. I'm not sure on what to do with her now. When would be a good time to bring her back? The party right now is about to head over to the sawmill. Thanks for any help.

1st major evil thought:
Assuming that Avalexi is not an idiot (standard succubus is hardly a moron)
assumptions:
1) Avalexi wants revenge
2) She knows nothing about the people who thwarted her
3) Revenge is a dish best served cold (when not expected), so no rush. Let them forget about her.
So
1) Avalexi goes to gather information (can take a bit of time)
Following this
2) Any of your PCs have romantic relationships in Sandpoint (Like Shayliss)? She could kill the romantic interest and take his/her place. but that's a bit juvenile and direct...
3) Avalexi slanders the cleric back in Sandpoint (maybe impersonates the cleric long enough to ruin her reputation... charm the key players).
4) She could easily take over the bordello, take the madam's place, then charm/enslave the sheriff. Following that, spread her influence and control over Sandpoint so that the PCs have major issues when they return.

I really like number 4. It gives me some ideas. Won't turning the town against them interfere with them wanting to protect the town?
Depends on the RP your group's been doing.
3 of our characters have become enmeshed with the locals ( romantic sub plots and 1 cohort). So it would be... troublesome for us.
Thing is to remember... she's a demon. Immortal and full of herself. Probably overconfident of her abilities. The PCs could even get a heads's up by some of their friends/lovers that people are starting to act strangely and talking about them negatively.
