#3-EX vs #4-15 The Cyphermage Dilemma credit

This might seem like a silly question, but since it's come up multiple times in my local group I figured it wouldn't hurt to get come clarification/confirmation...

From what I understand, #3-EX The Cyphermage Dilemma is the same scenario as #4-15 The Cyphermage Dilemma, and thus if you have played one, you count as having played the other (because they are the same). So if last year, you played #3-EX when your VC ran it, you cannot also play #4-15 (for credit).

Is this correct? A few players in my area have said that because they have different print on their chronicle sheets (#3-EX vs #4-14), they are officially different scenarios for determining credit. I'm pretty sure they are wrong but figured I'd ask.

You cannot play the scenario twice. In the case of 4-star specials, they are exclusive for one year and then are released to the general population. They are the same scenarios and cannot be replayed.

At least now they can GM #4-14 and earn a second chronicle sheet that way, but they are the same scenario and cannot be replayed. The same happened last year with The Midnight Mauler.

Even if we were to accept those players as being technically correct as to whether or not the season/scenario numbers make them officially different scenarios, it would absolutely fly in the face of common sense, seeing as the content is identical, and clearly be a violation of the intent of the replay rules.

If any players attempt to play 4-15 after having played 3-EX, they need to be gently "corrected", via a ten pound trout, applied directly to the side of the head at high velocity.

That's cruel! Leave the poor fish out of this, and smack the player with a rolled up newspaper instead.

Leave the poor tree out of this. Just use the gentle correction tool of a spray bottle of water. Just a spritz in the face will help correct their errors, without causing any permanent damage or scars...

I would hope some correction was done to the last boss, at the very least. She was a bit overpowered for the tier and could one hit kill very easily even without a crit.

Maybe some clean up editing to the rushed output of the EX version, perhaps a bit more on the city background and so on.

I know something has changed between the two, as the EX version had some things that were unclear in the last encounter.
