Hi all, I had a few questions about coming back to PFS. This requires a little backstory and if I haven't posted in the right place I apologize.

I joined PFS way back in 2008 to help get things rolling and playing with some friends whom I didn't get to see very often. I created a character under what I think I remember to be updated 3.5 rules and was able to play in two scenarios in what I think is now called Season 0. The scenarios in question were Silent Tide and The Hydra's Fang Incident.

I enjoyed playing in the society, however after those first two sessions life sucker punched me rather hard and I haven't been able to game or do much of that nature for the past 5 years. During this time I'm sure I've lost the character sheet for my original character and the 2 chronicle sheets for the scenarios I played in.

Now the questions:
1.) Can I use my old character even though he was created using the old rules?
2.) Is there any way to get the chronicle sheets for the scenarios I've played with him or am I SOL in that department?

I've been going through the boards some to try to see if there were answers to these questions, but there are so many posts and topics I wasn't able to find much.

Thanks so much.

The character should still be level one, they get free rebuilds which would mean you could just remake the character and make any revisions based on how the rules have changed or any new resources you happen to have gotten your hands on. No need to have the old character sheet.

Yeah, if your PC was still first level you're golden. Totally free rebuild from scratch.

As for getting your chronicle sheets, do you know who your GM was? The only way to replace the sheets if you can't find them would be to get new copies from your GM or possibly your local Venture Captain.

Note: If both sessions were actually played during Season 0, the rebuild rules are a bit different than for regular PF PCs from later seasons.

The rules for the rebuild are in the PFS FAQ, now.

To clarify, kinevon is referring to this.

EDIT:
To summarize, you must completely recreate your character, throwing out all of your old equipment and money, but keeping your XP and prestige. You get 750gp to buy your gear with, but you can't buy any single item worth more than 375gp.

Finally, since you're level one, you get one more prestige, to be in line with the new prestige system.

Sorry, I am at work, and had to go to a team meeting, so didn't have time to search for the link.

Yeah, those rebuild rules are why my halfling Rogue from Season 0 is a human Fighter now...

Thanks for the quick responses guys.

Jiggy, because this was 5 years ago my mind is drawing a blank as to who my GM was. I'm certain I can contact the Venture Captain, but I'd rather not burden them with digging through 5 year old stuff.

I've been looking through the Guide to Pathfinder Society Organized Play and I'm not sure I can still play this character without the chronicles? It says on pg. 21 under Do Not Cheat that I must have the chronicles for which my PC has been given credit. Does not having them mean I have to retire the PC or because I don't have them and can't obtain the items or gp from them he'd be fine to play?

Thanks again.

Well, the first thing to do, actually, is see if your PC is registered. If he is, check to see if the games were reported.

If they were, there should be the GM name, and a link to their Paizo profiles, which have PM links, as a start.

And, if the GM cannot help you, you can contact your local VO, with yoru PFS number, and the event information, and they should be able to recreate the chronicles for you.

Especially since, as a Season 0 PC conversion, the gold on the chonicles is not relevant, we could assume you got the 2 XP, and the PP would be available from the information online.

Great! I know my PC is registered, he's been sitting online doing nothing for a while now. I didn't know that the two scenarios had links to the GM, I'll have to check that out now.
