I am finishing up a build and deciding between tiger, roc, and tyrannosaurus for an animal companion.
I imagine tiger can be chosen in PFS. Can the other two be chosen?
List of allowed animal companions (for a Druid) from Bestiary 1:
Animal Companions: ankylosaurus, aurochs, brachiosaurus, dire bat, dire rat, dolphin, elasmosaurus, electric eel, elephant/mastodon, frog, goblin dog, hyena, monitor lizard, moray eel, octopus, orca, pteranodon, rhinoceros, roc, squid, stegosaurus, triceratops, and tyrannosaurus;A tiger is a "big cat" straight from the core rulebook, so it is also legal.
TL;DR: All three are legal options without any special boons. You just need to be a Druid (or a Sorcerer with the Sylvan bloodline, or a Ranger with the Beastmaster archetype, etc).

Yes.
Here's how to check things like this
Find out where the roc is from. PFSRD is usually pretty good about citing their sources (they did not this time though, grumble)
The roc animal companion is from bestiary 1.
Under Pathfinder society additional resources it reads
Pathfinder Roleplaying Game: Bestiary
Animal Companions: ankylosaurus, aurochs, brachiosaurus, dire bat, dire rat, dolphin, elasmosaurus, electric eel, elephant/mastodon, frog, goblin dog, hyena, monitor lizard, moray eel, octopus, orca, pteranodon, rhinoceros, roc , squid, stegosaurus, triceratops, and tyrannosaurus; Familiars: all familiars listed on pages 131–133; Feats: none of the feats are legal for play for PCs, animal companions, or familiars unless specifically granted by another legal source. Other: all creatures in this book are legal for polymorph effects (including a druid's wild shape ability) within the boundaries of each spell or ability's parameters.

Oh, someone told me on these forums that the Sylvan Sorcerer was banned for PFS.
I'm pretty sure they're wrong. To my knowledge none of the wild blooded bloodlines are banned. 3 of the normal blood lines aren't legal though, if I remember correctly(Daemon, Kobold, Pestilence. I have been wrong though!)

Sylvan sorcerer is from ultimate magic.
Pathfinder Roleplaying Game: Ultimate Magic
Anyone playing the magus playtest version must have updated his or her character as of 5/19/11. The following are NOT legal for play:
Alternate class abilities: alchemical simulacrum discovery, alchemical zombie discovery, doppelganger simulacrum discovery, and greater alchemical simulacrum discovery are not legal for play.
Archetypes: broodmaster summoner, clone master alchemist, gravewalker witch, pack lord druid, master summoner, reincarnated druid, synthesist summoner, undead lord cleric, vivisectionist alchemist archetypes are not legal for play.
Discoveries: arcane builder arcane discovery, golem constructor arcane discovery, true name arcane discovery, staff-like wand arcane discovery are not legal for play.
Feats: Blighted Critical, Create Reliquary Arms and Shield, Create Sanguine Elixir are not legal for play.
Hexes: child scent hex, poison steep hex, cook people major hex, and witch's brew major hex are not legal for play.

So its not on the banned list.
People have "heard somewhere" a LOT Of weird things.

Sylvan Sorcerer is most certainly legal.
Here's the listing for Ultimate Magic:

Note the bolded part says that the things listed later are NOT legal for play, and the Wildblooded archetype for Sorcerer is not listed, so it IS legal for play. :-D
EDIT: I've been handily NINJA'D!

First, thanks for the answers!
Second, your answers have lead to one final question.
Okay, the person told me this in a discussion I was having with them about the share spell ability for animal companions.
Amongst the other guidelines for improved shared spell, one guideline is that the spell being shared has to come from a class that has an animal companion.
So, since Sylvan Sorcerer is legal, a person could cast enlarge person or reduce person (both sorcerer spells) on an animal companion either through a wand, scroll or spell.
Am I correct on that?

This was debated for long while but the answer seems to be no. You need to use your actual, bonafide spell slots.
Items as Spells: Does using a potion, scroll, staff, or wand count as "casting a spell" for purposes of feats and special abilities like Augment Summoning, Spell Focus, an evoker's ability to do extra damage with evocation spells, bloodline abilities, and so on?
No. Unless they specifically state otherwise, feats and abilities that modify spells you cast only affect actual spellcasting, not using magic items that emulate spellcasting or work like spellcasting.

If you need to get a big critter into a dungeon or a fancy party, a scroll of Carry companion can't be beat. Turns your critter into a stone mini you can tap on theground to awaken.

Hey, but the thing is that improve share spell and share spell do not modify the spells (cause extra damage, make animal stronger, increase the DC). Share spell and improve share spell leave the spell as is and just allows you to cast the spell on yourself and your animal companion at the same time.
So, I don't think the cited ruling from Sean is relevant.
